Who is able to secure a domain name?  Print this Article

The person who orders a certificate must to be an owner or have admin rights of the domain name that is being secured. A SSL certificate secures a single domain name (your-address.com), domain name with subdomains (type Wildcard, e.g. a.your-address.com, b.your-address.com, c.your-address.com) or different names (Multi-Domain SSL).

If you buy a certificate, you should create a CSR and paste it into the registration form.
